Terms of Service

Welcome to SRVO (“SRVO,” “we,” “us”), a maintenance management application operated by Common Good Labs, based in Ontario, Canada. By creating an account or using SRVO, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. The service

SRVO is a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) designed for organizations — including nonprofits, faith communities, and small businesses — to track assets, work orders, preventive maintenance, and related operations.

2. Your account

  • You must provide accurate information when you create your account.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password and credentials secure.
  • You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to use SRVO.
  • If you create an account on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use SRVO for any unlawful purpose or to violate anyone’s rights.
  • Upload malware, viruses, or harmful content.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or to our systems.
  • Scrape, copy, or reverse-engineer the service except as permitted by law.
  • Use SRVO to harass, threaten, or harm others.
  • Resell or sublicense the service without our written permission.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of all content you upload to SRVO (assets, work orders, photos, comments, and so on). You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you and your organization.

You are responsible for the content you upload, including ensuring you have the right to upload it and that it does not violate any law or third-party rights.

5. Our software and brand

SRVO, the SRVO and Common Good Labs names and logos, the software, and all related intellectual property remain our property. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service while your account is active and in good standing.

6. Pricing and free tier

SRVO currently offers a free tier. We may change pricing, plans, or feature availability with at least 30 days’ advance notice via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the service after such changes constitutes acceptance.

7. Service availability

We work hard to keep SRVO available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may need to take the service offline for maintenance, updates, or to address security issues. Where possible we will give advance notice.

8. Suspension and termination

  • You may cancel your account at any time from your account settings or by emailing us.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, if your use poses a security or legal risk, or if your account remains inactive for an extended period (we will notify you first where reasonable).
  • On termination, your access ends and your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

SRVO is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted.

SRVO is a tool to help you manage maintenance operations. It is not a substitute for professional engineering, safety, or compliance advice. You are responsible for ensuring your maintenance practices meet applicable laws and standards.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Common Good Labs and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or relating to your use of SRVO. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred Canadian dollars (CAD $100).

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Common Good Labs from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of SRVO, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service will be resolved in the courts located in Ontario, Canada, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in-app notification at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
